News from the shipyard
In the months following the trade fair in Düsseldorf in January 2024, we received a lot of feedback from Germany and other countries in Europe.
No trade fair before has been so successful for us.
We have sold Saare yachts to German customers, but also to sailors from Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Great Britain.
In Estonia, we are trying to find more good craftsmen; our standards are very high and it remains difficult to hire more highly qualified employees. We would like to build two or three more yachts each year, but our delivery times are already very long.
This is currently the case for only a few shipyards; most manufacturers have massive overcapacity and are trying to inspire customers with ever faster model cycles with ever wider and more bulky yachts.
In addition to the one-off project of a yacht for a Swedish customer, intensive work is being done on the next Saare 41.2 and another Saare 38.2 is now under construction.
At the customer’s request, we are also installing a classic chart table on this Saare 38.2. This will make the saloon berth on the starboard side a little shorter and the diesel tank a little smaller.
In the coming months, we will not only build this 38.2 but also two more Saare 38.2s one after the other. That will then be almost “mass production” for us.
We will then also install the chart table on another ship and customize many details in the interior according to our customer’s wishes.
The following Saare 38.2 in spring 2025 will then be equipped for the first time with the taga bracket proven by the Saare 41.2 to hold the mainsheet.
Unfortunately, this means that delivery dates for further boats are moving further and further into the future, because following the 38.2 series, there is already an order for a 41.2 from Switzerland and another 41.2 is being planned. This means that we will not be able to deliver further yachts until spring 2026.
We would also love to build the next Saare 47. This yacht is impressive across the board and has delighted everyone who has seen the boat so far. As things stand, the earliest delivery date for a 47 could be the 2026 season. |
