Christmas time in Kuressaare / Saaremaa Estonia

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
dear friends of the Saare,

the days are getting longer again, the trade fair in Düsseldorf is just around the corner and then the 2024 season is not far away. Have you already planned your big summer cruise in 2024? Visit us in Eckernförde in our small private harbour. Downtown, the beach and many good restaurants and pubs are just steps away. Or will we meet in the Baltic States, in the Finnish archipelago or maybe in the fjords in Norway? Before that happens, however, we still have a lot of work to do. The trade fair in Düsseldorf still has to be prepared and we are also continuing to work intensively on the new Saare 47. It is planned that this beautiful new cruising yacht will celebrate its world premiere at the In Water trade fair in Neustadt at the end of May. In January at boot 2024, we will tell you much more about the new flagship of Saare Yachts. In this newsletter you will find:
  • News about the new Saare 47
  • Report of the Saare 41.2 CANELLE
  • Note on boot Düsseldorf
  • Saare-Yachts.com and Facebook

We will be exhibiting in Düsseldorf again in 2024. You will find us in the same place as a year ago.

Hall 16, Stand A 44

Please give us a call or send us an e-mail, we will also send you tickets for the fair.  (Telephone at the fair +49 174 1844423)

Saare 41.2 in Lanzarote

In June 2023, the couple from Gdansk had taken over Ihr Saare 41.2 in Kuressaare on the Estonian island of Saaremaa. Almost exactly one year earlier, they visited the YACHTFESTIVAL in Neustadt on the Bay of Lübeck and had seen the Saare there for the first time. They had been searching intensively for months, visiting and testing shipyards and several yachts. They had concrete ideas about what their sailing yacht should look like for years of worldwide travel, but still hadn’t found their dream yacht. They liked the Saare 41.2 right away and were impressed by our great flexibility and willingness to implement their wishes perfectly.
With high demands on design, the demand for maximum safety and durability and also with special wishes in interior design, we have planned the perfect yacht together with them. After they had seen the Saare, we were able to answer all questions comprehensively and competently and they saw that we would also like to implement their special requests, the decision to buy the Saare 41.2 was quickly made.

For example, this 41.2 was equipped with a wet locker directly at the companionway and 2  workstations in the foreship and saloon. This way, the owners can make the most of their time on the Saare and carry out business activities on the go.
For this purpose, this Saare 41.2 is equipped with a solar bracket that carries a total of 5 solar modules with 125 Wp each, in addition to a lift for the outboard engine is also integrated. The bimini goes from the solar bracket to the targa bracket and thus does not require any additional poles. In addition to the solar panels, the boat is equipped with large 24 V lithium batteries, there is electric cooking on board and shore power is not necessary due to the solar panels.

Now, after a completely trouble-free journey from Estonia via Gdansk and on in stages to Eckernförde and then through the North Sea, the Channel, Brittany, across the Bay of Biscay and along the Portuguese coast to the south, they have arrived in Lanzarote. After a short Christmas break, the trip will then go via Morocco or Madeira to the Mediterranean in January. Later it will go on even longer trips.

Saare 47

The foredeck of the new Saare 47 belongs to your guests, fellow sailors, children or grandchildren. The bathroom offers an elegant washbasin, a longitudinal toilet with holding tank and a separable shower area. Of course, the wastewater from the shower does not run into the bilge, but is pumped directly to the outside. Equipped in this way, the start of a new day succeeds.
The berth in the foreship is 2 m long, 1.18 cm wide at the front and 2.26 cm wide at the aft end. There are reading lamps in the front and aft and depending on your mood, you can sleep with your head in front or at the wide end. We also equip this huge bunk with the first-class mattress from Flexima from Austria as standard. The side hull windows offer exciting views of the harbour and the anchorage. They can be elegantly closed with a roller blind. Under the bunk there is space for an additional tank and plenty of storage space for larger parts, and there are also two large drawers built into it. Above the bunk there is storage on both sides with a shelf, a bookshelf and a small cupboard.
Opposite the wet room you will find three large wardrobes, whether equipped with shelves or a clothes rail is up to you. Optionally, there will also be a forward extension with an island bed and another wet room.

On deck, two small deck hatches will be installed in front of the mast for ventilation in the passage and in the bathroom, as well as a large hatch above the berth. Two large hull windows and two portlights let plenty of light into the cabin and bathroom. Integrated into the window, there is another possibility for ventilation in the bathroom.

At the very front of the deck there is a large anchor locker. A long chain, additional lines and a few fenders fit in here. On request, we can mount the stainless steel bowsprit on the bow. We continue to prefer this construction to the elegant but not very practical GRP versions. Here, practicality and safety clearly take precedence. On the bowsprit there is a foldable bow ladder ready for use at any time, the bracket for the anchor and an anchor point for the gennaker or Code Zero. On deck, between the anchor locker and the sail storage space, the anchor point for a fixed cutter stay or a removable stay is solidly mounted. The cutter stay can also be equipped with a furling system and then offers a quick, safe and easy change from the large headsail to the cutter jib from the cockpit when the wind increases. The large hatch (opening approx. 60 x 60 cm) to the sail storage space is connected to the foredeck. For example, a packed dinghy can also be easily stowed in here and there is still room for the Code Zero, a gennaker and other sails. Straight out of the hatch and back in, set and recover the large headsails. Other lines, fenders, even large ball fenders and other equipment can also be stowed here.
For safety reasons, the bulkhead between the sail storage compartment and the bow is designed as a solid collision bulkhead. The bow thruster is also located in this isolated area.  There is a second area further forward under the anchor locker, which is completely closed as a collision box. Even in the event of a major accident with damage to the bow, the Saare 47 is protected by these double collision bulkheads.
