Dear Sir or Madam,
dear Saare friends,we recently sailed the test with the new Saare 47 with the deputy editor-in-chief of YACHT, Fridtjof Gunkel. Unfortunately, the conditions were not great, with an unsteady wind from the east and a nasty, short wave causing problems.
On October 15th, we then added another day of filming for YACHT TV with Hauke Schmidt and Nils Günther from YACHT. Blue skies, plenty of sun and a light wind made the day more like a lovely holiday than a working day.

You will soon be able to find and read or watch the test in YACHT and the video on YACHT TV.

News from the shipyard:

At the end of September we handed over another Saare 41.2 to a British customer in Kuressaare. Ronja Nielsen handled the handover competently and expertly. She has been employed as an authorized representative at Yachtsport Eckernförde since the summer, actually as head of retail.
The British owner had the ship sailed to Great Britain by a transfer crew. The crew completed the first leg from Kuressaare to Kiel (just over 500 nautical miles) in around 66 hours.
It has now arrived safely in the Hamble River in the south of England.

We have now started building the second Saare 38.2 in the current series of three. This yacht will have some special features, for example the ship will have no windows in the hull. The customer chose classic mahogany for the interior and, as an architect, contributed his ideas and developed many detailed solutions himself.

Another Saare 38.2 is now as well under construction. This 38.2 is the first with a classic chart table.
This yacht will be offered as a charter yacht on the Baltic Sea from the 2025 season. So if you would like to test a Saare yacht extensively or just want to sail such a noble yacht for one or more weeks, we will be happy to forward your request to the owners.
This Saare 38.2 has now been demolded.

Here you find further information about the Saare 38.2

H-Boat
We have now sold another H-boat. We also build these elegant classics in Estonia at our shipyard Saare Yachts OÜ. This boat will be sailing on Lake Ammersee from next year.

Saare Meeting 2025

We warmly invite all Saare owners and their crews to experience the Nordic Midsummer Night with us.
If you, especially as a sailor, have never experienced the special light in the north and the bright Nordic nights, you have definitely missed something and should make up for it on this or another occasion.
On the island of Saaremaa, the sun sets at around 11 p.m. at the end of June and rises again at 4 a.m. In between, there is a very special, unique atmosphere in the nighttime twilight.
This photo was taken at 1 a.m.

We invite you to an international Saare meeting on June 23, 2025 in Koiguste on the island of Saaremaa, the home of our Saare yachts.

We will be moored with our yachts in the beautiful natural harbor of Koiguste on the island of Saaremaa at position 58°22’10” N – 22°58’01” E.
We are looking forward to meeting on board various yachts on June 23rd and to good conversations among Saare sailors.
From 6 p.m. we will then invite all participants to the large Nordic buffet in the John’s Place restaurant at the harbor. We will pay for the food, all other costs such as harbor fees and drinks etc. are paid for by each participant. Usually you drink water, delicious Estonian cider or cold beer from Estonia with your meal.
Then we will meet at the large campfire that Niklas will light at sunset before we sit down together again in John’s Place for a gin and tonic or wine.
The sun will rise again at 4 a.m. and we will end the evening comfortably.A tour of the shipyard is also planned. Each crew can plan their journey to Koiguste themselves and arrange it according to their time availability. The same applies to the onward journey or return journey to their home ports. Unlike three years ago at the big Saare squadron trip, each crew can choose their own pace, distance and route. However, you should plan one to three weeks for the journey from Germany.

We have already received a few registrations after the first, short call. Saare sailors want to come to Koiguste from Finland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, the Netherlands and of course Germany.

By the way, you can easily come as a Saare crew without a ship. By car or plane, anyone can plan a lovely summer holiday and enjoy the shortest night of the year with us in Koiguste. There are small apartments to rent in Koiguste.

We look forward to further registrations. Just send us a short email and we will add you to the mailing list.
We are happy to give you tips on the most beautiful ports and islands on the way north, other Saare sailors know their way further north in Finland and Sweden / Höga Kusten and can also give you tips. The Baltic States, the Swedish and Finnish archipelago, Öland and Gotland, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm – there are endless possibilities and destinations and so much to discover.
After meeting our Saare, we want to head further north to Finland and Sweden to the Höga Kusten.

A Saare is the perfect yacht to enjoy the Nordic summer to the fullest.

LENNUK in Kuressaare

On the way to official celebrations in Tallinn, we met the LENNUK in Kuressaare in the summer. This Finngulf 44 is the most famous sailing yacht in Estonia.
This yacht was built 25 years ago in our shipyard (then still Saare Paat AS). It was the first sailing yacht from Estonia to sail around the world. Today it sails with a new owner under the Norwegian flag and has since completed 3 circumnavigations.

Most of the Saare yachts are now in our winter storage. We can view the 38.2, the 41.2 and the 41cc there by appointment. The new Saare 47 will remain in the water a little longer before the yacht is prepared for the trade fair in Düsseldorf.

Thomas und Niels Nielsen
