The season has come to an end with great devastation at the ports and huge damage to many yachts. In the port of Kiel-Schilksee alone, 45 yachts sank in this storm.
The damage to our port is more manageable and we will be able to repair everything ahead of the season. No boat sank in our harbour.
There has never been anything like this in the Baltic Sea during the last decades.
There is still a lot of cleaning going on everywhere, there is still a lot to do. The drying systems are still running in our offices. We will once again strengthen our flood protection measures, but there is a certain level where the flood reaches our limits. Let’s hope that the next flood of this dimension is far away.

The yard Saare Yachts OÜ

The shipyard in Estonia has been around for over 30 years now. Initially, the company built wooden boats, and very soon modern GRP sailing yachts for Swedish and Finnish shipyards as subcontractors.
In 2007 the company began to develop and build its own models of Saare yachts. Since 2016, the shipyard Saare Yachts OÜ has been part of the Yachtsport Eckernförde group.

Winter storage for Saare yachts

In Eckernförde we offer our Saare customers beautiful summer berths and also an indoor winter storage with full service. Saare owners have been using our offers for many years.
Also in Estonia, in the marina of Kuressaare on the island of Saaremaa, we can offer berths for Saare yachts.
Winter storage in Estonia: The Saare 38 of an Estonian owner has been there for many years and we can unfortunately only accommodate one more Saare in our heated shipyard hall,
In the past two winters, this has been the “Hornpiper”, the Saare 38 of a German customer. He would like to stay longer, but we also want to offer this special opportunity to another customer.

Saare 47

The new Saare 47 is under construction. The hull is finished, the construction of the deck has now started and a lot has already been done in the interior fittings.
In all areas, we apply the high standards that also apply to all other Saare yachts and try to find even better solutions in many areas and implement even more good ideas.

In addition to many easily accessible storage spaces in the deck area, a large and comfortable cockpit is particularly important to us. With many other middle cockpit yachts, we are bothered by the space restrictions in often very narrow and short cockpits and in many cases, storage spaces for lines and fenders are not available at all, or only much too small. The fenders must then be tied to the pushpit, which we find unacceptable.

In addition to five additional storage areas accessible from the deck, the new Saare 47 also has a storage compartment in the cockpit. With a volume of around 165 l, all mooring lines, additional sheets and other things, such as safety equipment, fit into it.
The entire cockpit is very well protected thanks to the fixed windshield and sprayhood. Of course, a cockpit tent or even a vertical end, as on the 41.2, can be attached.
The cockpit is exceptionally large with a total length of about 2.60 m. The backrests of the coaming are between 37 and 40 cm high, on each side one seat is very well protected by the sprayhood.
The genoa winches and especially the central electric winch for the mainsheet are easily accessible. Placed in this way, the mainsheet can be trimmed by the helmsman at any time.
On the two winches on the coachroof, the winch to starboard is electric, the halyards, trim lines and reefing lines, as well as the gennaker and code zero halyard are driven.
The washboard is stored in a pocket in the engine compartment and rises with gas springs.
All important instruments and controls are located on the central control column and are very accessible. In addition to the engine, bow and stern thrusters and many other functions are operated from here.

Used Saare yacht for sale

We offer you our Saare 41.2, built in 2023, for sale. The yacht is absolutely new and first-class equipped.
