Ladies and Gentlemen
dear Saar friends,

Now, a few weeks after the end of boot 2024 in Düsseldorf, we can look back on this trade fair with great satisfaction. We arrived at the trade fair with some concerns; overall there were fewer visitors there, but we noticed a significant increase in interest in our Saare Yachts over the course of the week. Many sailors, especially from abroad, came to our stand with specific interest and were enthusiastic. For Saare Yachts it was the best Düsseldorf trade fair ever.

In this newsletter you find:

  • Test sailing of the Saare 41.2 and the Saare 38.2
  • Further news about the new Saare 47
  • Used boat offers / We are looking for…
  • New website www.yse.de
  • Note on the trade fair on the Baltic Sea

The Luna Nostra, a Saare 38 built in 2012, underwent a small refit at Yachtsport Eckernförde this winter. The teak deck was sanded, the hull and superstructure were polished to perfection, a new sprayhood was installed and the saildrive membran was replaced.
In order to be perfectly prepared for the occasional regatta use by the dedicated sailing family, the underwater paint was completely sanded off and coated with 2 layers of epoxy primer and antifouling.
Now everything is perfect again, the ship looks brand new, the season can start.

We have now completely renewed the website for our sailing sports shop and yacht service in Eckernförde with its own small harbor and winter storage after almost 500,000 visitors on the old one.
Homepage only available in German.

News from the shipyard

The construction of the new Saare 47 continues to require the full commitment of our shipyard team. There is still a lot to do, as always with a new model, new questions arise every day.

At the same time, in March we started laminating the hull of the next Saare 41.2, this time for a customer from England. This is followed by a Saare 38.2.

The transom for the 47 has now been laminated as a separate component. What is particularly exciting about this construction is the horizontally extendable bathing platform and the steps in the transom.
We developed this very elegant and innovative solution together with our design team.
Too often we have seen folding stern platforms damaged or destroyed when reversing to the pier. This is also becoming more and more common in the north. But you have to fold down the platform before the mooring maneuver, otherwise you usually can’t get to the jetty from the high deck. Then just a slight bump on the jetty or pier is enough to damage the bathing platform.
On the Saare 47 we have practical steps in the transom, from there you can always easily get to land and, if necessary, you can only extend the platform once you have securely moored.
You can also easily store an inflatable boat while sailing on the continuously extendable platform. The boat is stored transversely with one hose and fixed to the platform and is attached to the stern pulpit with the other hose pointing upwards.

On our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sareeyachts you will constantly find new photos and videos from the construction of the new Saare 47 and insights into the work of the shipyard.

Saare 41.2    &    Saare 38.2

You are warmly welcome to visit us in Eckernförde. Our harbor is slowly filling up and you can see some new and older Saare yachts in our harbor.
A visit and test sailing are possible by prior arrangement.

Saare 47

If everything works out on time, the new Saare 47 will sail from Estonia to the trade fair in Neustadt at the end of May.
Immediately afterwards, the Saare 47 will be available to YACHT and then to the French magazine Voiles et Voiliers for extensive testing. Other magazines from Great Britain will follow in the fall. Between the tests in June and until mid-June you are cordially invited to an exclusive test sail.
We will then go on a longer test trip and test this new ocean-going yacht extensively and enjoy the luxurious features. A viewing and test sailing of the new 47 will be possible again from mid-September.

You can also find information about the new Saare 47 on our website www.saare-yachts.com

The interior work is progressing quickly, the deck is put on, glued and laminated all around. The engine is installed. There is still a lot to do in the installation of water pipes, heating and electrical systems. With a generously dimensioned 48 V on-board system and powerful lithium batteries, we can supply large consumers, such as the induction cooker, well over a longer period of time.

Used boats at yse

At the moment we have no used Saare to offer.
We are looking for used Saare yachts for registered customers. The demand is high.

We are looking forward to a wonderful season with all sailors.
Our owners’ Saare Yachts sail on many seas. We wish everyone a good and safe journey, whether across the Atlantic back from the USA, in the Mediterranean or the Atlantic from the Canary Islands, in the Irish Sea, the North Sea and of course on the entire Baltic Sea.

You are always welcome on board our new Saare 47 for a coffee or a cold drink.

If you would like to sail your new Saare yacht in the 2025 season, we should arrange to have a conversation now. We can currently offer one or two delivery dates.
We have already sold the first building slots for the 2026 season.
