Winter greetings from the North,

January is entirely dominated by the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf. The boot is the world’s largest watersports exhibition. International business has also become enormously important for us; in Düsseldorf we meet customers and prospective clients from all over the world, as well as, of course, our owners and many interested visitors from Germany.

We began planning back in the autumn, and now everything has to be implemented perfectly. The Saare 38.2, which we are exhibiting this year, was loaded in Estonia on January 5 and then transported to Düsseldorf by truck.

Our setup team will be in Düsseldorf for several days to build the stand. It is a lot of work until everything is perfectly in place and gleaming at the end.

On Friday, directly before the fair, the entire consulting team will also arrive. Peeter Sääsk is coming from Estonia, Klaus Maurer, an enthusiastic Saare 38.2 owner, from Hamburg. Of course, the entire Nielsen family will also be present at the stand: Ronja (coming from Brittany) as well as Ute, Niels, and Thomas Nielsen from Eckernförde.

In addition, our yacht technician Stephan Peik and our master boatbuilder Anton Albrecht will be in Hall 1, Stand B36, presenting our new representation of Norwegian motor yachts from the Viknes shipyard in Bergen.

As a result, our retail store and office in Eckernförde will be closed from January 11 to January 26. On Sundays and Mondays, we will also remain closed for a few more weeks during the winter season, and we may not always be reachable by phone on those days. From April onward, we will be available for you again seven days a week.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to further improve our yachts. Everything is already so good and so well-developed. However, we have still found and optimized a few—admittedly rather small—details.

• On the Saare 38.2 and 41.2, the jib sheet is now led invisibly to the winch. This not only looks better, but also creates space for a cleat next to the targa arch for the staysail sheet.
• In the saloon, there is a new lighting concept, similar to that on the Saare 47. LED strips elegantly integrated into the ceiling provide even illumination.
• Of course, the LED strips are dimmable.
• On deck, all of our yachts now use the new 3G material from Flexiteek in a very attractive new color.
• The surrounding deck trim is now also made from a single piece using the new Flexiteek material.
• There are new colors: you still have free choice of Alcantara material for the saloon upholstery.
• A new control panel is installed for the cooler box. It not only displays the temperature but also allows it to be adjusted there.
• As standard, we now install the new Alpha Performance displays from Raymarine.
• In the future, a remote monitoring system for the onboard electrical system will be installed. This allows the battery charge levels to be checked at any time from anywhere.
• Bow and stern thrusters are now equipped with new brushless motors.
• A classic half-skeg keel or shaft drive propulsion is now optionally available.
